LDM Conversions

1 LDM is equal to one meter of loading space of the truck's length. If we take a look that the approximate width of a truck is 2.4 meters we can determine that one loading meter is approximately 2.4 m². The loading meter conversion factors include: 1 loading meter often corresponds to 1850 kgs.

1 Euro Pallet (120cm x 80cm) = 0.40 LDM

1 Standard Pallet (120cm x 100cm) = 0.50 LDM

Container Dimensions

You can fit 26 standard pallets in a 45' pallet wide high cube container and curtainsider trailer, whereas you can only fit 24 standard pallets in a 45' standard high cube container.

A 45’ pallet wide container can hold 13.5 LDMs.

What documentation do I need for my shipment?

For all shipments outside the EU, we require a packing list and invoice.

For Dangerous Goods movements, we will require a dangerous goods note (signed by the shipper), and a MSDS (materials data safety sheet) certificate.

For fiscal clearance, we require a POA (power of attorney). Documentation will be provided on request.
